Tax Evasion

4 May , 2015

Tax Evasion, which should not be confused with Tax Avoidance, is completely illegal.

It is where you deliberately break the rules and deceive the taxman about what your tax bill should be. If you do not declare your full income, fail to complete a tax return, or are found to be hiding taxable assets you could be seen as evading tax.

The penalty for tax evasion is severe, and could result in a prison sentence of up to 10 years.
